Free trial
Section titled “Free trial”Every new installation gets a 14-day full-featured free trial — no credit card required.
To start your trial:
- Open the app for the first time.
- Click Start Free Trial in the license dialog.
- The trial begins immediately. A countdown badge in the sidebar shows how many days remain.
The trial is tied to your machine. Each user is entitled to one trial period.
Trial restrictions
Section titled “Trial restrictions”During the trial you have access to every feature:
- PLC connection, dashboard, diagnostic buffer, data browser, alarms
- AI Agent with any supported Claude model
- TIA Portal and Ladder Migration integrations
When the trial expires, premium features are gated behind a Pro license. The PLC connection and basic dashboard remain accessible.
Pro license
Section titled “Pro license”A Pro license unlocks all features without time limit.
Pricing:
- Monthly: $29 / month
- Annual: $249 / year (saves ~28% vs monthly)
Each license is valid for one machine at a time. If you need to move your license to a different PC, contact s7plcbuddy+contact@gmail.com.
Activating a license
Section titled “Activating a license”- Purchase a Pro license from the S7 PLC Buddy licensing website.
- Copy the license key from your confirmation email.
- Open S7 PLC Buddy → click Activate License in the license dialog.
- Paste your key and click Activate.
Your license is validated online and stored securely on your machine (encrypted with the Windows Data Protection API). Internet access is required for initial activation and periodic re-validation.
Finding your Machine ID
Section titled “Finding your Machine ID”If you contact support about a license issue, you may be asked for your Machine ID. Find it at Settings → System → About → Machine ID (click the copy icon to copy it to the clipboard).
Cancelling
Section titled “Cancelling”Cancel your subscription at any time through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
