Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is the first page you see after connecting. It provides a real-time snapshot of your PLC’s health without needing TIA Portal open.

The dashboard polls the PLC every 5 seconds while connected. You do not need to manually refresh. The last-updated timestamp appears at the top of the CPU status card.

The CPU Status card shows:

Field Description
Operating Mode RUN or STOP
IP Address IP address of the CPU
Web API Version Web API Version reported by the CPU (e.g. 5)
Diagnostic Buffer Indicates the most recent diagnostic buffer entries

Below the CPU status card is a table of the most recent diagnostic buffer entries — the same events you would see in TIA Portal’s diagnostics view.

Each row shows:

  • Timestamp — exact date and time of the event
  • Status — Incoming, Outgoing, or both (⇒/⇐ arrows)
  • Description — human-readable event text
  • Event Reference — Siemens internal event ID

For details on exporting and filtering the buffer, see Diagnostic Buffer.

If the PLC connection is lost, the dashboard shows a “No connection” state. Reconnect via Settings → Connections to resume live data.
